As mentioned in the problems page, a "Smart Switch" was destroyed due to dreadful soldering - This happens less often that it should but when it does it tends to be a dozy!

A new plan had to be thought of. It was going to be a standard momentary switch but that changed after a random YouTube short.

This showed off a Capacitive touch sensor, like the one below

So off to our favourite Chinese supplier and a set were ordered for about a tenth of the price from Amazon!

It seems that all of the Raspberry Pi shutdown switch additions are boring push switches. Why not change it to something cool, and hidden!

Why not then use the MON DC IN hole where the external monitor would plug into. It was mentioned it would be hidden, and quite cool!

All it needs is a single GPIO pin and a simple script
